Denisse Veayra is a multi award-winning Mexican tattoo artist specialized in black and grey realism and surrealism. With over 9 years of professional experience, her work is defined by a strong conceptual approach, emotional depth, and a refined balance between realism and surrealism.

 

Driven by a desire to grow, evolve, and connect her art internationally, she moved to the United States in 2022, beginning her journey in Miami, Florida, where she continues to travel frequently as a guest artist. She is currently based in New York City.

 

Beyond tattooing, Denisse has a deep passion for other forms of art such as drawing and painting, which strongly influence her tattoo work. Every tattoo is fully custom, thoughtfully designed from brief concepts shared by her clients and developed through her own artistic vision.

 

She enjoys working with themes such as nature, animals, portraits, magic, cosmic elements, cinema, and horror, always adding a subtle dark touch and exploring the contrast between light and shadow. Her work intentionally avoids clichés and styles that do not align with her aesthetic. She does not tattoo religious, pre-Hispanic, architectural, geometric, watercolor, or color-based designs, focusing exclusively on pieces that can be fully expressed through black and grey.
